Smart Subway AR

At the MTA App Quest hackathon (May 4–5, 2013) my team’s app AccessWay, which helped blind and visually impaired riders navigate the subway, took 3rd prize. AccessWay read MTA abbreviations properly — “125 St.” as “125th Street,” not “1-2-5 Saint.” In the final round (Sept 24, 2013) it earned an honorable mention. I built it into Smart Subway AR: enter a destination, point your phone at the signs, and follow the arrows.
